Building a Sustainable Blue Economy – Who Will Drive the Transition?

For the EU to deliver on its climate objectives, the blue economy needs to undergo a transition to further sustainability –  But how can we achieve this? Who can and who should lead the way?

Join Rud Pedersen Public Affairs Brussels on June 8 from 12:00 – 13:00 CET for the second event in the digital series discussing all you need to know about the Blue Economy.

Stay up to date with the debate, which follows the recent European Commission’s publication of a new approach for a sustainable blue economy in the EU.

For the second edition ‘Building a sustainable Blue Economy – Who will drive the transition?’, the speakers will include:
– Bernhard Friess, Director for Maritime Policy and the Blue Economy, DG MARE, European Commission
– John Maggs, Senior Policy Advisor and Shipping Expert, Seas At Risk
– Sotiris Raptis, Director for Maritime Safety & Environment, ECSA (European Community Shipowners’ Associations)

The event will be moderated by Rud Pedersen Public Affairs Brussels’ Senior Advisor Chris Davies, with opening remarks from François-Régis Mouton, Regional Director Europe at IOGP.
